Ingredients:
1 1/4 t salt,
1 (10 oz) pkg. pearl onions
2 (10 oz) pkgs. frozen peas, thawed
4 1/2 t butter
4 1/2 t flour
1/4 t pepper
1 1/2 C milk
3/4 C process cheese, cubed
Directions:
Add two cups of water, salt, and Pearl Onions into a sauce pan. Bring water to a boil over medium heat. Continue boiling for five minutes. Add peas to the pan and reduce heat to medium low, cover pan and simmer for about 10 minutes. Drain, and place in a serving bowl. Set aside.
Add butter into a large saucepan and melt over low heat. Once butter is melted completely add flour and sprinkle in remaining salt and peper and stir until smooth. While you are stirring add milk. Bring mixture to a boil.
Stirring continuously boil the mixture for 2 minutes or until it begins to thicken. Add the cheese and continue stirring until the cheese has completely melted and the sauce is smooth. Pour the sauce over the onions and peas and stir to coat.
