Being a new mom puts enough stress on a woman; but then to be told that your child has a deformity can sometimes take a woman over the edge. It seems that once you hear deformity you hear nothing more that the Doctor says to you. You are in total shock and thoughts such as “What did I do wrong”, “Is this all my fault?”, “Will my child live a normal life”. The thoughts can be insurmountable and overwhelming.
If you are that new mom who has been told that your child has a deformity, you are not alone. Your thoughts of doom are not abnormal in the least. There are so many of us out there that have thought that exact same way. We have layed in that hospital bed and cried quietly to ourselves.
We don’t want you to feel that way any longer.
Little Hands Big Hearts Moms is a Group of Moms who have been in the same situation as you. We are here to support you, encourage and motivate you to believe and know that everything will be just fine. It is our goal to show you how normal your child really is so that you can help them grow into a healthy individual and an integral part of society.
Little Hand Big Heart Moms provide email support for those who want privacy in dealing with their issues. There are some topics or concerns that you may feel are too personal to post on a public forum. We more than understand your concern. However, as a parent of a child with ABS, we have been in your shoes and know what it’s like to feel lost in your search for answers, information and support. So we are available for support via email if you would like to discuss something or just need to talk to someone who understands how you feel. You can contact us: Admin @ littlehandbigheart.com (remove the spaces when sending an email) and we will respond to you as soon as we am able.
We am not a medical provider; therefore we cannot provide any type of medical information or support. But we can lend a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on.
