There are times when we just don’t want to have a huge Christmas Dinner. So this Christmas maybe you should think about having a Christmas Dinner for Two. Below I have provided some great ideas for your romantic Dinner for two this Christmas.

Even if it is the two of you there is still work involved for getting ready for your romantic dinner for two. Since portions are smaller that means you will not have to spend all day in the kitchen, but those great memories will still be created.

  • You are going to save money by doing a small dinner for two. There will be less to prepare less to buy. But if you are still wanting some left overs then you could cook enough for dinner for four and then you will have leftovers. But it will be just enough leftovers that you will not get sick of eating it.
  • Make this dinner a romantic dinner. Add a few candles on the table, set a formal setting. You could even dress up for the occasion and also turn the dinning room into a formal setting.
  • Prepare a menu in advance. Not a huge menu but a great one you can put together. Fixing the dinner together. Talk about old times, like your first Christmas together.
  • You could cook a small Turkey, A small ham, or a couple Cornish hens. Or you could cook a turkey breast instead.
  • You could always order out. Most grocery stores do catering, Or you could cook the turkey breast and just order all the sides.
  • Try something new. You could try all new dishes since you are not trying to impress anyone you could try all new dishes.

This Christmas Dinner does not have to involve the whole family. Spending quality time with you spouse is just as rewarding.

Babies Want Boxes For Christmas

Living in a boxCreative Commons License photo credit: Larsz

Every year parents go crazy buying their children Christmas gifts.  They seem to really go crazy when it is their first child.  Later we find out that once our baby can hold themselves up and play they  tend to love the boxes that gifts came in much more then they do the gift that came in them.

But don’t get upset.  It happens to all of use parents. So when someone tells you that spending all that money on a gift is not a great idea becasue our infants really will not appreciate them, you may want to consider what they are saying.  Especially if your friends have their own children.

So what exactly does our babies love so much about these boxes?  It may be because boxes come in all shapes and sizes and is easy for our children to move around and get in and out of.  The boxes weigh next to nothing so if they fall on our children they will not get hurt.  And lastly we all now that cardboard taste awesome!

Since our babies love those boxes so much dont fight it..  This is a great time to teach your children all about imagaination and what all they can do with these boxes.

One type of box you probley have laying around your house that your children will love isbaby wipe boxes.  Your children can open anc close them, put toys in them and use them as building blocks.  Trust me they will have hours of fun. You can store your sons cars in them or your daughter can use them to make a baby bed or store their baby clothing in.

As your child grows, they will start to be able to turn just about anything they can find into some kind of toy. You may have somethings that you don’t want your child to be playing with make sure  you baby proof your home.

Our children grow up way too fast.  One second they are brand new, just home from the hospital and need our full attention.  The next second they are trying to run the house and don’t need your help at all. Giving your child very simple items to play with teaching them so much.  So face it all babies love to play with boxes and in turn you are teaching your child to use their imagination.

What are you getting your sibling

Did you know there is only 40 days left until Christmas?  I have been trying very hard to perticipage in the 100 to christmas challenge.  And today is about sibling presents.  I normally go out and find something good to buy my brother but I am thinking about making a family gift for them.  Maybe a family calendar of their family or a nice throw blanket for their couch.  Hmmm that is a hard one.  I will have to think on it more.

What about your kids?  What do you do for them to help them get presents for their brothers and sisters?  Do you take them out and let them shop?  Do you get the supplies for them to make a present for their siblings?

I need ideas let me know what you do and how you do it.
